Set up a Shoot.

I have been a photographer for 10 years and loved animals my entire life. I am starting this pet photography business to combine the two. Ask me about discounts for exotic animals to add to my portfolio.

I shoot ANY kind of animals or pets, provided I can get close enough without scaring it away or being eaten. This means I will shoot your bird, hedgehog, snake, tarantula, horse, pig, iguana, rat, bunny, or even just dogs and cats. I aim to capture your pet's personality in their own or favorite environment. Pet portraits from me will be unique memories.

I will come to your house or meet you at any location you choose. Travel fees apply according to mileage (starting from Ellicott City, MD.) You can select a short, medium, or long session with your pet depending on how many images you would like. Short = 2 hours, medium= 4 hours, long = 6 hours. Times include half hour 'get to know your pet' time if necessary. Hourly fees apply if shoots go over. Fees also vary based on type of pet and difficulty to shoot (puppies are more active than iguanas.) All shoots receive a CD of medium res images and a customized package of prints.

Prices start at $200 for a 2 hour sedate pet session nearby. Please remember this includes the time for the shoot, time in post processing (I shoot all RAW for the highest quality possible) equipment replacement and depreciation, insurance, software, and all my other business costs.

Before contacting me about a shoot please consider the following: No, I won't shoot your (human) children, sorry it's just not what I do. I don't shoot before noon, and if you want anything outdoors the best times are 2 hours before sunset to sunset. Will your pet be frightened of big equipment, lights flashing, or strangers? I can NOT guarantee anything - as you well know, animals are unpredictable. I will reshoot for a reduced fee if none of the images are satisfactory despite our best efforts. I charge a 25% reservation fee to keep the date and time for you. This is transferrable only if I'm given more than 48 hours advance notice of a reschedule. Questions?

OK set up a shoot! Please include what kind of animal, how many there are, short medium or long session, and time, location, and date.

Shoot checklist: Is your pet groomed/cleaned/recently shed its skin? Do you have treats and toys handy to keep it interested and happy? Is your house clean of random debris and clutter? Will other distractions (like kids, or other animals) be controlled and out of the way?
